We went to Toyonaka City Hall to apply for our Alien Registration card. We took the train from Hotarugaike station (蛍池駅) to Okamachi station (岡町駅).

The trains were clean, and the people were orderly (they queue to get on the train - which I think Singaporeans should learn from). The only thing I felt dissatisfying was the fare...

Only two stops, and I have to fork out S$2.30??!! In Singapore one can travel from Joo Koon all the way in the west to Changi Airport in the east for less than S$2!

Along the way, we stopped by a shrine for pictures...

Toyonaka City Hall

After our business was done at the city hall, we went to Mitsubishi bank to have our accounts opened. Due to some misunderstandings with the bank staff in the beginning, we spent quite a lot of time at the bank. And due to some weird reason, the bank refused to cash in my demand draft until they issued me my ATM card. Being slightly fed-up, I opened my bank account with all the coins I had in my wallet at that time. The scene was slightly comical because I was making a lot of noise when I was emptying my wallet into a tray at the counter. By the time we left the bank, it was way past our lunch time and we were famished....

We headed north to Ishibashi Station (石橋駅) for our super late lunch. We just waltzed in to the first restaurant we saw.

I didn't care about the price anymore. I ordered curry rice set UPSIZED. It was a lifesaver.
